Testing 1, 2, 3!

One of my very dear quilting pals (who is so unbelievably talented and creative) asked me to a pattern that I'm hoping she finds a way to publish. It is such a fun quilt to look at and make. The pattern is called Happee Tree. Check out Laura Bittel's page here: Hiz and Herz
She has beautiful quilts and other fun sewn items to share!
I've decided to use some fat quarters and scraps from Pillow and Maxfield's Gypsy Bandana. Here's how it's going....

So I've started playing around with how my Happee Tree will look, not quite finished with my leaves, but couldn't wait to arrange the ones I have made so far! Tune in for more post Super Bowl progress!

Back to the shop I go...

On Sunday night as I was quilting this.....

I ran out of thread in my bobbin. So like any other fool who did not prepare bobbins ahead of time I went through the motions of winding some bobbins. Well when the first bobbin was done winding, I couldn't remove it, I pulled a bit harder and now something is wrong with this......

I loved this machine at first, but am slowly realizing it has it's own personality. So back to the shop I go!

Inspiration

It's amazing where you can find inspiration to start a new project. Lucky me, I found this great set of dishes. Now all I need is a new curtain for my kitchen window to go with them. A great excuse to do some fabric shopping!
