Distracted

I have quite a few quilted goodies that need to be bound and then photographed. However, I am clinging to the last few days of freedom before the school year begins by watching reruns of Ghost Whisperer...YIPES. I have also spent a decent amount of time being distracted by Pinterest. LOVE LOVE LOVE this concept. I already have 19 boards....clearly I like collecting ideas. So in my state of distraction I found this adorable project. Check it out.
All you need is some fabric, a box of crayons, hot glue gun, and a foam wreath!
The flowers on the one I saw were larger so I may work on them a bit but still.....so darn cute!
Now it's back to binding!

Too Soon for Halloween?

As the summer days are dwindling I find my mind and fabric taste heading towards Autumn and Halloween fabrics. I'm not a huge fan of applique quilts BUT, the other night I sat sketching (sometimes I do use that undergrad degree in fine and studio arts) and came up with an adorable Halloween quilt. Here are the fabrics I chose...
Stay tuned!

Late for the Bandwagon

When the school year ended I had such big plans for all of the projects that I would complete this summer. There have been a few snags along the way. One of the projects I couldn't wait to start was The Farmers Wife Quilt Along. Tons of quilters all over the WWW have been part of this awesome venture.... I am late. Finally this week I started cutting a block.

On my trip to Vermont I bought tons of fat quarters of Mill House Inn from Fig Tree Quilts. I usually don't choose this kind of color scheme but felt that they went so well with the theme of Farmers Wife.
Here are a couple of the blocks I completed. The one on top is #2 Autumn Tints, the bottom is #1, Attic Window. I don't know if I can make all of these!
